Simon visits the indigenous Yuriks in the eastern Taurus Mountains who are nomads and keep goats. Then he visits the Kurds in the SE who suffer oppression from the current regime but they number 1 in 5 of the general population. We see the secret police who were rude to the camera crew and 100 s of reporters are under arrest in Turkey. He then travels north to the border with Armenia by train which is rarely visited by foreigners. It is a rich area for biodiversity.
