Deul Ho is no longer working as an attorney and lives day to day haphazardly without any income to support his living. One day, he is surprised to find So Mi, a daughter of his friend Jung Gun from the time he was a prosecutor, paying a visit to his law office in order to ask for his help in locating her missing father.

Deul Ho visits Tae Yoon, the detective who has investigated Jung Gun’s disappearance. He questions the unconcerned efforts visible on the investigative records for a missing DPO investigator. However, Tae Yoon retaliates with mentions of the case that had brought Deul Ho in current condition while demanding no more interference from him. Through this event, Deul Ho is once again reminded of the painful incident.

Deul Ho is led to a ruined building no longer in use scribbled in Jung Gun’s notepad while in search for him. Within the structure, Ja Gyeong had interrogated Jung Gun in order to uncover the reason for his unusual interest of that location. Deul Ho tries to find clues of his whereabouts at the place where Jung Gun unknowingly drank the poison given to him by Ja Gyeong.

Deul Ho asks a favor from his old friend Ki Young in order to help the now-closed case of what had transpired to Jung Gun. He learns of Ja Gyeong’s connection with the Kookil Group and that she is a strong candidate to lead the company after its chairman Hyun Il. Deul Ho senses her involvement with Jung Gun's death and decides to pay her a visit on his own.

Deul Ho and his team mobilize to find evidence for their next case. They must find out more about Googil Company’s youngest son, Goog Jong Bok. They try to fish more information about him tricking a drug dealer. Unless Deul Ho gets some useful evidence, his client will go to jail for sure.

Deul Ho’s client finally opens up to him and gives more information on her case. On the trial day, Deul Ho with his new evidence tries to defend his client. He, however, collapse during the trial which ends up delaying the case.

After Deul Ho’s collapse at the courthouse, Judge Mi Sook asks him to find a replacement lawyer for Deul Ho’s client. Fortunately, Ms. Yoon is a lawyer and volunteers to take Deul Ho’s place. Meanwhile, Ja Gyeong is demanding Deul Ho to stop from defending his client.

Guk Hyun Il is stabbed and is in the hospital. Now there is another case for Deul Ho to take care of. As Deul Ho gets closer to apprehending Jong Bok, the situation escalates and gets more dangerous to continue. This time, Deul Ho may not get out alive.
