All of this is only the beginning of Emil Trier’s film about hype, illusions and easy money with a high interest rate. We will reveal more in advance, but in Trier’s masterly unravelling, the incredible robbery story becomes proof that reality can sometimes surpass fiction both in terms of twists and tragedies. But ‘Trust Me’ is also a psychologically astute film for a time when the hustler can quickly become king.
